What's The Process Of Building A New Addition?
Building an addition can be complicated due to needing building permits - however I am with you at every step of the process ensuring the project goes smoothly, on time and on budget. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you understand how my addition projects are typically handled.
Additions can last a month up to several months. Depends on if its a one story or two story addition and if we need to build a new footer for the addition.
I typically recommend a two story addition - a two story addition doesn't always mean it's double the cost of a one story addition. Since we don't have to build a new footer twice we simply build on top of the first floor the projects tend to be a better value.
Yes, additions require permits. However, I am there at every step of the way to ensure you have the information you need to submit the proper forms and get approval.
No, I have an architect that I can provide who will work closely with us and make recommendations on what is best to fit your needs and be structurally sound.
